Ed Flanagan, Chair Ed served as Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development under Governor Tony Knowles from 1999 to 2002. A retired Laborer and union business agent, Ed was the Alaska Coordinator for Helmets to Hardhats, a special military and veteran outreach program of national building trades unions and contractor associations, from 2003 to 2011. |

Tom Cashen, Co-Chair Tom served as Commissioner of Labor during Governor Knowles' first term (1995-1999). A retired Electrician and long-time Assistant Business Manager for IBEW Local 1547, Tom was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Alaska Southeast in 2010 in recognition of his years of service and advocacy on behalf of Alaskan workers. |

Jim Sampson, Co-Chair Jim served as Commissioner of Labor under Governor Steve Cowper from 1986 to 1991. A retired Laborer, Jim was Mayor of the Fairbanks North Star Borough from 1991 to 1997 and Executive President of the Alaska AFL-CIO from 2003 to 2007. In 2008, Jim was recognized as Distinguished Alumnus of the Year by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Alumni Association. |

Geoff Bacon, Treasurer A 2011 graduate of the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University, Geoff is a field representative for the Alaska Public Employees Association. Prior to transferring to Juneau earlier this year, he was president of the Fairbanks Central Labor Council. |
